In Q2 2022, the top sandbox-like games on iOS in the Middle East showcased varied performance in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users. Here’s a closer look at the metrics for each game.

Roblox from Roblox Corporation saw a notable fluctuation in its weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $475K at the end of March and experiencing a decline to around $244K by mid-May. However, revenue rebounded to roughly $371K by the end of June. Weekly downloads displayed a generally stable trend, ending the quarter with a high of about 47.5K. Active users grew steadily, starting at approximately 783K and reaching about 836K by the end of June.

Minecraft by Mojang experienced a relatively stable revenue stream, averaging around $15K to $23K weekly. Downloads remained consistent, hovering around 1.5K to 1.7K per week. The game maintained a stable active user base, beginning the quarter with approximately 121K and ending with around 124K.

PK XD: Fun, friends & games from Afterverse Games showed a decline in weekly revenue from about $9.2K at the beginning of the quarter to approximately $5.3K by early June, before spiking to around $9.3K at the end of June. Downloads followed a similar pattern, starting strong at approximately 14.7K and dropping to around 4.8K, then recovering to about 7.1K. Active users fluctuated but ended the quarter with a slight increase, from 113K to approximately 103K.

IMVU: 3D Avatar Creator & Chat by IMVU saw a varied revenue performance, peaking at around $12.4K in the last week of June. Downloads ranged from about 938 to 2K weekly. Active users remained relatively stable, starting at approximately 32.3K and ending at around 29.7K.

Growtopia from Ubisoft exhibited a decline in weekly revenue, starting at approximately $5.7K and dropping to about $2.9K by mid-June, with a slight recovery to roughly $4.8K by the end of June. Downloads were consistently low, ranging from about 222 to 3.6K weekly. Active users also decreased over the quarter, starting at approximately 4.4K and ending at around 1K.
